Administration
Tracy – Hospital Administrator, CVBL

Tracy has been an integral part of the veterinary field since October 2014. Besides her strong love for animals of all shapes and sizes, Tracy always strives to deliver an exceptional client experience! She has a love for learning and believes in continuously finding new ways to meet the needs of patients and pet parents alike. As a self-proclaimed lifetime student, she completed her Certificate for Veterinary Business Leader in 2020 and has taken a myriad of courses including euthanasia sensitivity and crisis, communication and service, compassion fatigue, and many more.


Alyssa – Hospital Administrator CVT, CVBL

Alyssa is an Arizona native! She completed the Veterinary Technician program at Pima Medical Institute and became a CVT in 2019. She is Hyperbaric Certified and recently completed her CVBL. Alyssa has a passion for client education, training, and patient care. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs Kiwi and Bubba as well as her young children Che and Noam.


Stephanie – Assistant Hospital Administrator

Stephanie is a dog mom and rescuer originally from Iowa, but has spent most of her life in the south. After spending the majority of her adult life in real estate, she was given an opportunity to work in emergency and general practice veterinary medicine a few years ago and she can’t imagine being in any other field of work. She grew up with dogs, cats, and even a few hermit crabs but tends to prefer pets that bark and neigh the most. She is a Chandler High School graduate of AZ, but she can’t wait to retire back by the beaches of North Carolina.


Jessica – Assistant Hospital Administrator

Jess was born in The Valley and raised up in Prescott AZ. She’s been in the veterinary field since 2014, but her passion for animals started young when her dad got her a ferret, a rabbit whom she trained to use the bathroom and get his snacks from the fridge, and a guinea pig who loved to go through her homemade obstacle course, and they always had a dog in their home! Jess started her career at a general practice and exotic animals veterinarian, helping animals as small as a mouse with a hurt paw, to as big as a bear that was in need of a neuter. She has loved the transition in to emergency and critical care. She hopes to gain more knowledge in physical therapy and alternative medicine, and grow in her role as a technician. She spends her spare time with her two boys and husband!


Client Services
Amanda – Client Services Lead

Amanda is an Arizona native and has been interested in the caring and treatment of domestic and exotic animals since she was young. She has worked as a veterinary assistant and volunteered at a local raptor wildlife rehabilitation as a certified medical volunteer. Currently she spends her free time enjoying being a new mom! She loves planning ways to enjoy nature such as camping or hiking with her husband and son. The rest of the time she can be found snuggling up with her senior toy poodle hound mix and cat with a good cup of coffee in her hand!


Janae – Client Services Lead

Janae is an Arizona Native who spent her entire life around animals. Definitely believes her childhood helped develop her love for animals, ever since she was a little kid she was raising dogs, cats, and cattle. In high school, she decided to continue that love of animals and attend CAVIT for their vet assisting program. Ever since then she has volunteered at local shelters and continued helping out with the family animals. When she is not at work, she enjoys being with her family and friends, or being outdoors; hiking, fishing, or camping. She has 2 fur babies, Hunter and Sarge that are her favorite adventure buddies.


Dee – Client Services Lead

Daesha is originally from Illinois who has a passion for helping animals. She is the proud owner of a cat named Pancake, who she adores. Daesha’s love for DIY projects is reflected in her creative hobbies, where she enjoys making personalized gifts and decorations for friends and family. In her free time, she likes to go horseback riding, listen to music, and spend quality time with loved ones. Daesha was drawn to work for GQ vet because of the amazing care her parents dog Chewy received as a critical patient at GQ!

Amber

Amber was born and raised in Ohio but has lived in Arizona since 2012. Her first job was working at a Veterinary Clinic before she joined the Army. When she finished her service contract she went to school to be a Veterinary Technician at PIMA Medical Institute. She was at a time in her life where she was unable to continue to work as a Veterinary Technician so she worked for The City of Apache Junction and Town of Queen Creek before she was finally able to come back to the Veterinary field. She has four children, Eli, Emmy, Tito, and Jamey (two with fur and two without fur). Amber is a big goofball and loves making people laugh. In her free time she likes to vacation and spend time with family.


Bayleigh

At just 19 years old Bayleigh accepted her first job as a veterinary receptionist. She had always known she loved animals, but this field is so much more than what she expected! Her goal every day is for our clients to be heard, their fur babies to receive the best care that we can provide, and for her fellow co-workers to feel supported! Once she realized how this role allowed her to advocate for a better quality of life for animals and their families, she knew veterinary care was her home. In her spare time, you can find Bayleigh traveling or going to nearby concerts.


Sherrie

It was always a childhood dream of Sherrie’s to work with animals. Now, with 6 years of working in the veterinary field she can call it a career. Being apart of the GQ team that provides the best care to all the fur babies is so rewarding and brings so much joy when we’re able to help the helpless. When Sherrie’s not helping fur babies at the hospital, she has two pups Star and Tank to keep her on her toes.


Tanya

Tanya grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and Riverside, California. When she is not working one of her two jobs she loves spending her time cosplaying, putting puzzles together, and playing video games with her husband. Tanya has two dogs, Link and Zelda that run the house together.

Ysabel

Ysabel grew up in Chandler, AZ. She spends her free time with her family and two year old daughter, Dahlia. They recently adopted a 5 month old kitten named Blair, who is obsessed with scrunchies and will steal yours out of your hair the first chance she gets.

Samantha

Sam is originally from California. Her love for animals started from a young age. Her aunt had a veterinary facility in California where she also raised Staffordshire terriers. This is where her love for pit bulls came from. She moved to Arizona in 2013, started in the veterinary field in 2014 as a veterinary assistant, and worked her way up to a veterinary technician. She decided that although she had a passion for surgery, her area of expertise was in client care and communication. She makes it her mission to go above and beyond to make sure client and patient care is a priority. She is very excited to start growing and learning more about the ER side of Veterinary Medicine! Sam lives with her fiancé and two daughters, Stella and Laynee. Their pets include their two dogs Olaf, a Husky, and Meadow, and American Staffordshire Terrier. In their free time they like to watch football and baseball (go Packers and Angels!). They also love to take their girls to Disneyland when they can.

Vincent

Vincent Godinez was born and raised in Arizona. Vincent is very eclectic and an open individual who gets excited when finding new things he didn’t know he may love. Some of his hobbies are reading, rollerblading, cinema, music and just about anything art related. After being in Colorado for the past couple years Vincent moved back and is hoping to make a more permanent home here in Arizona as he believe this is where he belongs the most, at least for now. Vincent always had a good connection with animals and enjoyed being around them. After working in a dog boarding facility it was clear to him that working with animals was a pretty fun and fulfilling experience. Vincent is excited to work at the QC Vet in hopes that it’ll get his foot in the door for bigger and better possibilities.


Shawna

Shawna is originally from California but has lived in Arizona most of her life. She recently completed the Healthcare Administration program with Pima Medical School in 2021 and hopes to continue her education and follow a career path in Sterile Processing. She has 3 Pitbulls; Kilo, Trouble, and Loko, and in her free time, enjoys being outside, listening to true crime podcasts, and building her lowrider.

Technicians
Kat, CVT – Specialty Coordinator

Kat grew up in Oregon helping her Grandparents on the farm and moved here to Arizona in 2000. She graduated from the Mesa Community College Veterinary Technician Program with honors, and went on to become a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2020. She has a passion for Emergency and Critical Care medicine and hopes to start earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technician Medicine at Penn Foster in the near future. Kat has 2 dogs, Ivy who is a Pitbull Boxer mix, and Reavis, a German Shepard Cattle dog mix. Every chance she gets she is out with her Fiancé, their 3 rambunctious boys, and their 2 pups going on hikes, camping, and exploring the beautiful views all around Arizona.

Karla – Cardiology

Karla is an Arizona native who graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She loves being a voice for animals and taking the time to understand and learn from them. Karla recently moved to east Mesa and in her free time enjoys spending time with her fiance and their two cane corsos Zues and Athena. When Karla can, she loves spending time outdoors and traveling to new places.
Katelyn – Valley Fever & Oncology

Katelyn was born and raised in Arizona. She enjoys camping, hiking, hunting, and spending time with her son and family! In her free time Katelyn likes to go play pool, watch horror movies or play video games. She graduated from high school and EVIT in 2018 and have been in the veterinary field since 2016. She is very passionate about her job and there is nothing she would rather be doing!


Stephanie, CVT – Valley Fever & Oncology

Stephanie (Steph) Young was born and raised in a small town in rural Minnesota. Where she grew up on her grandparent’s hobby farm it was here she found her love for all animals. Through high school she volunteered her summers at a local veterinarian clinic. In 2013 after high school graduation her whole family moved to AZ and in 2016 she graduated from Pima medical Institute with an associate degree in veterinary technology. Spring of 2018 she became a certified veterinary technician. Until recently she has been working in general practice but wanted a change and to learn more about emergency medicine. She also has a passion for surgery. In her free time she volunteers at her church mentoring teenage girls. She has three dogs that she adores Nala, Charlotte, and Tinker.


Mike – Communication Liaison

Mike is joining us all the way from Chandler, Arizona. Mike has experience caring for a wide variety of animals. He worked in small animal emergency and critical care for 6 years. He also has worked with a variety of primates at the Phoenix Zoo. Mike has a passion for client education, training, and patient care. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with working with wildlife, relaxing with friends or finding any excuse to go outdoors. Mike has 2 dogs, Aurora and Tesla as well as 3 cats, Scarlet, Harley and Kiera.


Sarah – Equipment Technician

Sarah was born and raised in South Africa and moved to the United States in 2016. Her and her husband have since made Arizona their home in 2021. Between her time making sure that the equipment at GQ works to the best of its ability, she is the designated snuggler to our patients during their visit. She has two cats named Baboo and Archer. She loves jigsaw puzzles – the bigger the better! She also enjoys adventuring on both land and water, but equally loves being a couch potato!


Dana – Lead Technician

Dana is from Colorado and recently moved to Phoenix, AZ to be closer to her family. She went to Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology to receive her my Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. She has experience working in emergency veterinary medicine and enjoys the quick pace and variety of cases it brings. Dana has a dog named Bosley, and two cats named Lily and Oliver. In her free time, she likes to watch movies, go on bike rides, and snowboard.


Kristen – Lead Technician

Kristen was born in California and raised in Arizona and New Mexico. After working as a kennel attendant in high school, she decided she wanted to pursue a career in Vet Med. She went on to study Animal Science at New Mexico State University. From there, her life took a detour when she met her husband, whom she now shares four beautiful children with. In 2017, she returned to Vet Med as a Technician at a General Practice working with animals of all sizes (from bunnies to cattle!) before relocating to Arizona in 2021 to join the GQ Emergency team. She enjoys going to the gym, hiking and exploring outdoors, and the occasional video game competition with the family. She has a goofy boxer mix named Kookie who loves the kids and sunbathing in the grass.


Crystal, CVT – Lead Technician

Crystal was born and raised in Arizona. She completed her veterinary technician program in February of 2020 at Pima Medical Institute. Crystal’s passion is to help animals as much as she can. She graduated from Pima Medical and received her CVT licensing in April of 2022. She has one dog of her own, whose name is Skeeter. She also loves to go camping in Flagstaff, AZ during the summer and the sand dunes in California during the winter!


Skyler – Lead Technician

Skyler was born in Illinois and grew up there before moving to Arizona in 2010. She always grew up around animals and currently has a boxer named Molina, a cat named Max, and 3 guinea pigs named Marley, Monica and Rachel. In her free time, she enjoys being in the pool as much as she can, playing softball and spending time with friends and family. She is attending Pima Medical Institute where I will graduate in July 2021 to become a certified veterinary technician (CVT). In the future she plans to continue her education and advance into the field of zoo medicine.


Liv – Lead Technician

Liv was born in Arizona but spent most of her life traveling. She has always been fascinated with the animal kingdom. She is currently in school to achieve her certification as a veterinary technician. She eventually wants to pursue a career in marine biology and work in the Ocean. When Liv is not working, she can be found relaxing in the pool or traveling to visit different cities with her family, friends, and fur babies. She has two dogs, Sasuke and Chibi, two red-eared sliders, On-Guard and Touché, and a chameleon named Pascal. She is eager to learn new things and is always ready for new opportunities.


Dani, CVT – ICU Lead Technician

Dani was born and raised here in the valley and has always had a love for taking care of animals. She is currently completing her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology at Mesa Community College and plans on taking the VTNE in November of 2021 to earn her certification. After becoming a CVT, Dani would like to specialize in emergency and critical care. She is a fur-mother to her 3 dogs, Gizmo, Jax, and Kirby. When she is not at work caring for your pets, she loved spending time with her fur babies, playing video games, and enjoying the outdoors.


Brittany – ICU Lead Technician

Brittany has spent her entire life surrounded by animals. She grew up loving her time at West Yellowstone and dreamed of one day working as a wildlife biologist. Brittany has spent most of her life working with animals and has truly found her passion in veterinary medicine. When she is not working Brittany enjoys spending time with her three children and many animals. Brittany is also currently in school to earn her certification as a Veterinary Technician through Penn Foster. She is very excited about what her future has in store at Gibert Queen Creek Emergency Vet!


Kathie – Inventory

Kathie is originally from Colorado but moved to Arizona in 2017. She joined the army as a Veterinary Technician in 2015 and found her love for helping animals! She has 3 dogs, Bosco a mixed breed, and then two Labrador Retrievers named Fynn and Zeus. When she’s not at work, she is out exploring what Arizona has to offer! She also has a passion for playing her trumpet and ukulele in her spare time. Photos coming Soon!


Alexa, CVT – Specialty Surgery Technician

Alexa was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, but has lived in AZ for most of her life. She completed her veterinary technician program from PIMA medical institute in February 2021 and obtained her CVT licensing in November 2021. Alexa’s passions are emergency veterinary medicine and specialty surgery and being able to care for animals and make them feel comfortable while in hospital. She has a black cat named Spooky Boy that she rescued in October 2019 and 4 horses (Charcoal, Niff, Rolex and Aja) that Alexa rescued and obtained over the years. In her free time she loves riding and showing her horses in all around competitions, hanging out with her boyfriend and just relaxing or going on adventures with friends!


Erin – Specialty Surgery Technician & Training Coordinator

Erin is originally from Massachusetts. She comes from a family of Vet Techs, both her mom and sister were vet techs. Erin started in shelter medicine, she has experience with exotics and large animals as well, but emergency and critical care medicine is where she thrives in the veterinary world. She’s been in Arizona for 4 years now, but moved to the valley in September 2021. Erin recently became a new mom in March 2022, and is absolutely loving being a mom. She also has 2 dogs; a 10-year-old Chaweenie named Periwinkle and a 4-year-old French Bulldog named Frankenstein. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family and making new memories with our son. Seeing live music whenever possible is a passion of hers.

Brittni – Training Coordinator

Brittni is a mommy of two energetic boys and lives in constant motion. Growing up in Hawaii and California was the highlight of her younger years though it didn’t last long as she moved to Portland, OR when she was six years old. In high-school she learned her love for animals. South American raccoons, chinchillas, hedgehogs, flying squirrels…. you name it, she had it. She went on to graduate from Vanpelt Training Academy to acquire her CAN. She worked as a customer relations manager until she pursued her healthcare degree working in one of the greatest surgical departments in Oregon. After great consideration she decided to move with her family to Gilbert, Arizona. In looking for a new career, she stumbled upon Gilbert Queen Creek Emergency Veterinarian & Pet Urgent Care and new doors have now opened for her here! She looks forward to learning to become an emergency veterinary nurse and to see what new and fun opportunities lie ahead.


Hannah – Training Coordinator

Hannah is an Arizona native. She is currently finishing her Bachelor of Science degree. Hannah currently has four dogs at home: Molly (Bloodhound), Scrunchy (Pug), Gracie (Jack Russel) and Sanchito (Chihuahua). Hannah is passionate about providing care to your pet as if they were her own.

Asia – Auditing Nurse

Asia is an Arizona native who has has a passion for animals since she was a child. She currently has many animals: 4 dogs (Roxy, Chuy, Indiana, and Mazikeen), 1 Guinea Pig (Peanut Butter), and 1 African Sulcata Tortoise (Dona). In her free time, she enjoys reading, video games, and taking all the pups for outdoor adventures!


Rafael

Rafael was born in Venezuela and moved to the United States in 2015. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Central University of Venezuela (U.C.V), and has been working in the Veterinary field for more than 10 years. He is most passionate about Veterinary imaging techniques like X-Rays, Ultrasonography, etc. As hobbies, he loves reading comics, novels, listening to heavy metal, going to concerts, traveling, but most importantly spending time with his family and loved ones. Rafael’s best friend is his dog Alexander.


Natalie

Natalie is from Lodi, California, and moved to Arizona in 2005. She has always loved animals and knew that she wanted to take care of them and help them when she grew up. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster to become a veterinary technician. Natalie is very proud to be part of the GQ family and is ready to help everyone’s 4 legged friends! In her free time, Natalie loves to exercise, hang with loved ones, and go on adventures with her little pup, Nala.


Kiara

Kiara is passionate about patient care, and loves being able to help the ones that don’t have a voice! She earned her NAVTA veterinary assisting certification in 2017 and hopes to pursue a career specializing in emergency. In her free time, she loves spending time at the gym and caring for her rambunctious 3 year old daughter. She also cares for her 4 cats Yuki, Pocket, Fred, and Cannais along with her beautiful pit bull Nani.

Jessica

Jessica was born and raised right in Queen Creek. She’s always had a passion for animals and knew when she grew up that she was going to be helping them but she didn’t know it would end up being in emergency! She has a soft spot for Labradors, so of course she has a 2 year old named Willow. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her family, camping, hunting and spending time with her fur baby. She graduated from the vet tech program in 2022 from Pima Medical Institute. And she very excited to see where this journey takes her.


Emma

Emma Burningham was born and raised in Arizona. She has always had a passion for animal care and has devoted a great deal of time to volunteer work within multiple veterinary hospitals in Arizona and Utah. Emma graduated from American Leadership Academy High School in May, 2021. She is currently continuing her education in the veterinary medical field and is Fear Free certified. She has two rescue dogs, Mayzie, a Yorkipoo, and Sammy, a Chorkie. When she is not at work caring for your four-legged friends, she enjoys rollercoasters, video games, hunting, and spending quality time with friends and family. It has been Emma’s dream to work in small animal emergency medicine and she is proud to be a part of the GQ family!


Lexis

Lexis is a starburst full of energy, hardworking and driven with a huge goofy side. Lexis has high hopes of becoming a DVM one day and owns a wide variety of animals. Lexis has two snakes named Neptune and Noodle. A bearded dragon named Stumpy, a cat named Ollie and last but not least a dog named Hoopster. Needless to say, she loves to give herself a lot of work to do. Other than animals she is very passionate about art and likes to paint and draw in her free time! There is never a dull moment around Lexis and she is bound to make you smile with her cheesy jokes.


Brayden


Gillian

Gillian was born and raised in Arizona. She has always had a love and passion for animals of all shapes and sizes. She is currently a senior at Williams Field high school and is also attending the East Valley Institute of Technology for Veterinary Assisting. Once she graduates she plans on continuing her education towards becoming an exotic animal veterinarian and one-day plans to open her own exotic animal rescue. She always grew up surrounded by a wide variety of animals and currently owns a German Shepard (Frida), four cats (Stella, Rosie, Finnegan, and Charlie), a budgie (Georgie), and a rescued bearded dragon (Archie). When she is not attending school or working she spends her time volunteering at Liberty Wildlife, a local rescue and rehabilitation center for a wide variety of wildlife species.


Laura

Laura was Born in Lincoln, NE and raised in Sioux City, IA. After high school, she attended several different colleges, declaring a multitude of majors, before she finally moved to Sioux Falls, SD to attend Globe University, where she received her A.A.S. In Veterinary Technology in 2015. She realized her passion for emergency medicine during her internship at the only ER in a 150 mile radius of the rural South Dakota town. In 2017, on a whim, she packed her bags, for Phoenix, AZ, having never been to the area. She spent 2 years at a small general practice in Mesa, but her passion for emergency care, led her back to the ER. When Laura isn’t working, she enjoys spending her time in Sedona, hiking, reading, re watching her comfort shows (like the office), and making different vegan baked goods, and meals. She spends her life with her 3 cats: Baykey, Omelette, and Orange Julius, 3 dogs: Mimi; a corgi, Hattie; a pug, and Noodle; a dachshund, and her boyfriend.

Amy

It has been a passion of Amy’s to work with animals since she was a little girl. It has been her dream to become a Large Animal Veterinarian since she can remember. While it is still an interest of hers, Amy feels as she starts to work more in this field, the more she has grown to want to become an Emergency Room Veterinarian. On her off days, she enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling.


Rachel

Rachel was born and raised in Portland, OR but relocated to the valley at the end of 2019. She has always had a passion for all animals ever since she was a little girl, but never imagined her work experience in retail and mortgage would lead her to her dream career in emergency veterinary medicine. When she is not behind the front desk at GQ; you can find her spending time with her family, creating art, or going on crazy weekend adventures for the sake of her bucket list.


Kimberly

Kim is a Southern California native who moved to Arizona a year ago. She is a life long animal lover and caretaker. Kim started her veterinary career 5 years ago in general practice as a technician. In addition to her veterinary work, she has partnered with the Humane Society to rehabilitate wildlife, and has volunteered in cat adoption centers to help local kitties find their fur-ever homes.
In her free time, Kim enjoys playing D&D with friends, reading, watching horror movies and learning new languages. She has two very spoiled cats at home, Pandora and Wolfe. Kim believes that love and companionate care go hand in hand with medicine and will always strive to give every pet her best self.

Adelynn

Adelynn started her Vet Tech career in 2020 at Pima Medical Institute. It has been a dream of hers ever since she was young to help animals who are hurting and need critical care. Animals hold a special place in Adelynn’s heart. Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is the options are endless, there are so many different specialties and animals to study. You can never get bored in this field and learn something new every day. Her favorite animals are tigers and horses. Adelynn hopes someday she can have her own horse to go horseback riding with. During her free time, she loves working out and hanging out with her two cats Annie and Todd who have the funniest personalities, and my white golden retriever Winston who is a couch potato. Adelynn hopes to expand her knowledge in vet med and advance to equine rehabilitation and zoology medicine.


Wednesday

Wednesday was born in Kansas however, she has spent most of her life here in Arizona. Despite her name being Wednesday, she was not born on a Wednesday. Her name comes from the TV show The Addams Family. She is currently a pre-vet student, Wednesday has been in the vet field for 6 years. She currently has, 6 dogs (4 pugs and 2 golden retrievers), 2 cats (including her paraplegic cat Charles Xavier), 6 hedgehogs, 4 geckos, 4 frogs, a turtle, a tortoise, and her newest member a hamster! In Wednesday’s spare time she enjoys art, reading, home projects, camping, gardening, and spending time with her boyfriend, family, and animals!


Calista

Calista was born and raised here in Arizona. She has 2 fur babies at home Astro (travel size shepherd) and Miley (the not so photogenic cat). She is currently working on pursuing on becoming a CVT.


Kaya

Kaya Sezener has always had a love for animals since he was 4 years old! Being a part of the GQ family is such a beautiful opportunity to pursue what he loves and to start his career! Kaya is currently enrolled at East Valley Institute of Technology in the Veterinary Assisting program and will be graduating by The end of May 2024, afterward, he plans on going to MCC to get a Certified Veterinary Technician license and hopefully go to a University to become a Veterinarian.
